One hundred and fifty thousand dollars on clothes.
$150,000.
In addition, [an anonymous McCain campaign donor] suggested, the bad press only means the GOP base will unite even further behind the McCain-Palin ticket.
You know, the donor is right. One wonders just how strong that base is feeling these days.
Q: What happens when you take a one-dollar bill and multiply it by 150,000*?
That's how much donated money their campaign spent on getting Governor Sarah Palin a new wardrobe.
* - A: $150,000. - tbo

Swine and I were discussing how cold it would be the day we hear a candidate share that their wardrobe is 100% organic, sweatshop-free, fair trade, earth-friendly.
I was watching the interview last night w/ McCain/Palin. Beyond her views and annoying voice there was something else that's been bugging me about her. Until last night I couldn't pinpoint it. And then I was watching and I realized, the word and attitude is "SMUG". In her $2000 suit sitting there whining she was the definition of smug.
MOC-
Of course it would be cold! How could one possibly be warm without fur?
Smoooochie-
Personally, I think as the only hockey mom with a $2000 suit, she has a right to be smug.
You know everyone is complaining because she is trying to come off as common folk in her speeches, but yet she is wearing a fortune in clothing paid for by the RNC. Rightfullly calling her out on that hypocrisy.
But I think the bigger hypocrisy comes from her claims that she and McCain are the fiscally responsible candidates and yet she is okay with an $18,000 a week clothing allowance.
How do they sleep at night?
Word Verification: Swine. I shit you not!
